Through collaborations, wonderful accomplishments can be realized in the Orthodox Community. A review of the Grant Awards funded by the Hellenic Foundation demonstrates the potential of what can be achieved through collective efforts. However, without the initial embrace, sharing of grant policies and procedures, and guidance by the following organizations, our community would not be realizing the benefits of Hellenic Foundation’s Grant Program.
The Virginia H. Farah Foundation
The Virginia H. Farah Foundation makes grants for the maintenance and growth of the Orthodox Christian Church throughout the world. The Foundation looks for creative projects or programs that serve as catalysts for progress in the Church and have a lasting impact. They focus primarily on projects or programs where traditional sources of funding are unavailable. They are a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation dedicated exclusively to the work of the Orthodox Christian Church. Their goal is to provide funds to non-profit organizations to help them carry out unique and innovative projects that support the work of the Church. Their grant recipients are engaged in all areas of Church life, from humanitarian efforts and missionary labor to education and scholarly work. The Foundation hopes these projects will help spread the Orthodox Christian message while improving the quality of life on earth.
The Renaissance Fund
The Renaissance Fund accomplishes its mission through the awarding of Grants and Donations to qualified 501(c)(3) organizations and educational Scholarships to students attending eligible educational institutions. It awards Charitable Grants to support religious, charitable, educational and scientific purposes of organizations promoting educational and humanitarian efforts and programs in the Greek Community within the United States, and the Eastern Orthodox Church.
Orthodox Ministry Services
Orthodox Ministry Services helps transform and improve Orthodox Church organizations, parishes, and ministries in order to strengthen the Body of Christ. They accomplish this by strengthening all Orthodox Christian parishes and organizations in America; partnering, empowering, and investing in growth and development through transformative philanthropy and organizational support; and providing comprehensive research, insight, and organizational services to national ministries and local parishes.
